Police Chief Jim Eldridge has over 28 years of experience in Law Enforcement. He has served as Deputy Chief and Commander of Special Services for Putnam County, TN. He was appointed Chief of Algood Police Department in 2005.

Chief Eldridge believes that close communication with businesses and residents is the key to keeping Algood safe. He has established an active program with the Algood School and has been succesful in starting an active Business Owners Group.
