To recognize and award residential, church, and commercial property owners who are enhancing the beauty of our city. Awards are presented in May, June, July, and August of each year. Chairperson is Judy Mainord 537-9545

Upper Cumberland Quilt Festival

This event is the largest fundraiser for the Algood Senior Citizens Center, held in September of each year. In 2006, the quilt walk to some of Algood’s historical homes, churches, and businesses was added and also more Algood residents were opening their homes for the quilt walk.

Annual Bark in the Park

This event is held in October of each year by the friends of Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter, a non-profit group helping the lost and homeless animals in our community. The event is held at the Algood City Park.
December 6th, 2012 - 6pm
Algood Christmas Parade
This event is held on the first Thursday in December of each year and is co-sponsored by the Algood Police Department, the Algood Fire Department, the Algood School and the Algood Business Association. Donations are made by individuals and businesses and given to needy families and their children in the form of gift cards for food, clothing, gas, and toys.
